About Haycon
Andy Hay is the driving force behind Haycon, with over 20 years’ experience across both commercial and residential construction.
Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) from RMIT University, Andy began his career in the commercial construction sector, gaining experience across a diverse range of projects including apartment developments, large-scale industrial projects, aged care facilities and high-rise developments throughout Melbourne.
He later returned to the residential construction sector, where he worked extensively on high-end new homes and major renovations throughout Victoria. This broad experience across both commercial and residential construction has given Andy a strong understanding of the building process, from initial planning and costing through to construction and completion.
After many years in the industry, Andy saw an opportunity to create a business that approached construction differently. His focus was to provide a genuinely customer-service-oriented experience, where clients are listened to, communication is straightforward and ideas are developed collaboratively.
Andy enjoys working closely with clients to understand what they are trying to achieve and believes the best outcomes come from combining their ideas with practical construction knowledge and experience.
